Mike Cusack

Harvester, Region IV
American Seafoods Company

Born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, I have been fortunate to be in the Seafood Industry my entire life. My early seafood experience is on the harvesting side of Alaska fisheries beginning at a very young age, working on trollers, gillnetters, seiners, and long liners in different parts of Alaska. In 1995 I shifted to the “administrative” side of the seafood industry in various management roles for both privately held family companies and large multinational companies.

Today I am the Vice President of Sales - North America for American Seafoods, the largest at sea catcher processor of Alaska Pollock and Pacific Whiting/Hake.

In addition to serving on the Board of AFDF I am a member of the ASMI Domestic Marketing Committee and Whitefish Committee.

I am a graduate of Oregon State University with a BS degree in Economics and live in Seattle. I also volunteer on the Board of Directors for Wellspring Family Services which is the oldest non-profit organization in Seattle with the mission to end the cycle of family homelessness.

In my spare time I enjoy sport fishing, boating, and coming back to Alaska as it will always be “home”.
