Madi is the Marketing and Operations Specialist at AFDF, where she leads strategic communications, outreach, and operational initiatives that support sustainable fisheries and maritime innovation.

Based on the Kitsap Peninsula in the Pacific Northwest, Madi finds endless inspiration in the natural world. Growing up by the Hood Canal, she spent her time harvesting oysters, clams, crabs, and shrimp, fostering a deep appreciation for the connection between healthy ecosystems and the fisheries that sustain coastal communities. Her experiences have shaped her understanding of the important role fisheries play in local economies, culture, and resource stewardship.

Madi’s experiences in small communities worldwide have broadened her perspective on the challenges coastal regions face, from resource management to the impacts of climate change. This perspective has strengthened her dedication to supporting sustainable growth that benefits Alaska’s seafood industry and ensures long-term resilience for both communities and ecosystems. Working with AFDF, she is dedicated to supporting responsible growth across the Pacific Northwest region.

Her career spans diverse roles, such as consulting on U.S. market entry strategies, managing digital marketing and business operations, and collaborating with organizations focused on maritime innovation. Before joining AFDF, Madi served as the Operations Coordinator at Pulse Group Consulting, where she managed executive support, content strategy, and client relations while working closely with Washington Maritime Blue. She has also worked in recruitment at Amazon and built a successful independent art business, combining creativity with entrepreneurial strategy.

An avid hiker, runner, and plein air painter, Madi draws creative energy from the landscapes around her. She is passionate about the intersection between community, environment, and industry, finding lasting inspiration in the balance between nature and the livelihoods it supports.
