Inaugural Alaska Mariculture Cluster Meet-Up January 12, 2023, Anchorage

The inaugural meeting of the Alaska Mariculture Cluster was held January 12, 2023, at the Hotel Captain Cook(Opens an external site in a new window) in Anchorage, Alaska.  It was a great turnout, with informative presentations on the many facets of the project, kicked off by Governor Mike Dunleavy(Opens an external site in a new window) and the AFDF Executive Director, Julie Decker.  There were sessions presented by the many people who have championed this project, including the Southeast Conference(Opens an external site in a new window), State of Alaska, and representatives from the Economic Development Districts throughout Alaska.  There were also several kelp farmers, including Seagrove Kelp(Opens an external site in a new window), Barnacle Foods(Opens an external site in a new window), Kelptastic Farms(Opens an external site in a new window), and others.  For more information, contact the Alaska Mariculture Cluster(Opens an external site in a new window) and sign up for notifications on this exciting new venture in Alaska!
