The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation is now accepting applications for Executive Director

Wrangell, Alaska (August 16, 2023) – The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF) is now accepting applications for Executive Director.

Established in 1978, the Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF) is a non‐profit organization that works on behalf of the Alaska seafood industry, including harvesters, processors, and support sector businesses, in the areas of research and development. AFDF’s mission is to identify common opportunities in the Alaska seafood industry and to develop efficient, sustainable outcomes that provide benefits to the economy, environment, and communities. In order to fulfill its mission, AFDF works collaboratively with the seafood industry, universities, scientists, governments, Alaska Native organizations, economic development and conservation organizations, and policy makers. Alaska seafood industry priorities guide AFDF’s work which represents a creative and effective approach to applied research and development and furthers solutions in the nexus of communities,
